Meeting Recap
  • Comments
    • Increased resident participation and motivation (Positions contested) warmly welcomed.
  • Suggestions
    1. Increase time of Saturday meeting from 3:30 (end) to 4:30.
    2. Counselor Lunch: Make sure that there is a reserved seat at each table for counselor. Have points of interest to get the lunch discussion going.
    3. No break during RFS meeting, increase discussion time.
    4. Have more microphones at designated locations for easy access and to increase participation.
  • Electronic Voting
    • Current method of voting with paper takes increased time for vote tally and reduces efficiency of election process. Look into organizing electronic vote for RFS meeting analogous to ACR (Main).
  • Discussion Time
    • Mandate increase, this is what the participants came looking for, an open forum for brain storming and sharing of ideas – education of each other about how we are dealing / learning in our own environments. Bringing up topics that affect day-to-day resident education / growth / future.
  • Audio-Visual Requirement (Monday a.m.)
    • Needs to be organized and in place so that we can finish on a professional note.

Poster Submission During Annual ACR Meeting
  • Topics for submission to attend: Policy, Education, Economics
    • Difficulty of review panel and length of time to organize reviews
    • Need to begin accepting submissions now to start actual review
      • Substandard articles are not what we’re aiming for.
  • Question of monetary reimbursement

MRI Teaching File
  • One Case Submission to Attend Meeting
    • Issues of quality and participation
    • Will programs fund for travel based on single case?

    • Amy Kirby discussed inherent issues currently slowing down the pace of throughput, micromanagement.
    • Turnaround time should ultimately be 4-5 weeks
    • Increase resident awareness of database - $80/case and $300/3 cases

    • RFS executive committee felt Canadian participation was needed
