AuntMinnie Discussion Forum:
JACR approached for 3 way collaboration between Auntminnie, JACR, and RFS. The idea was not supported in regards to AuntMinnie, because the ACR leadership would rather have it on the ACR website, in an effort to facilitate traffic.  EC discussed and consensus thought that the website needed to be revamped, and that better access to those not involved would be more effectively done with AuntMinnie. Long term this could be converted to ACR.  Again, however, after approaching this with ACR leadership, it was thought that this really needed to be ACR based.  They are willing to give a great deal of resources into revamping the website to facilitate the project.

Summary of the pertinent points with the article would be placed on the ACR website for topic information.

It is the overall feeling that the ACR website has to be user friendly and layout has to be navigated without a lot of digging.  Some of the trouble lies in staffing and the ability to devote time to update. Hopefully with the resources promised, these issues can be addressed and resolved.

AFIP housing database
Lots of people had undesirable housing, or in unsafe areas at the last AFIP. No database exists currently for housing.  Survey conducted at the last AFIP addressed housing issues, with the results distributed to the committee by Ginnie Scroggins. Ongoing data is needed.  State level involvement may lead the local push for more information. Once the information is published to the website, this will in hope facilitate involvement and traffic on the ACR website as well.  AFIP would like to collaborate with the ACR RFS to update their information as well, and maybe even to direct the residents to the ACR website.  The preliminary data will be given to Kelly and should be integrated into a format that can be searched easily from a standardized database.

Advertisements should be posted on both AuntMinnie and possibly in the testimonial video at AFIP to direct people to the ACR website for housing information.

Ideas to improve the website:
  • Navigation
  • Better organization
  • More educational links
  • Career development and negotiations
  • Discussion Forum
This may be of value for both the resolutions as well as for the resident’s section

Chapter Handbook:
Financial matters - fundraising for events can come from vendors, state chapters, etc., and could be expounded upon in the handbook.  Contact information needed for state chapters. Presidents of state chapters should be compiled and updated regularly.  This could be garnered from a state chapter level as well.  It needs to be available on the web.  Again, this will ultimately fall on the ability to update and maintain the ACR website.

Introductory Pamphlets:
Introduced to the residents at the meeting, but overall feeling was that the copy didn’t address the RFS at all.  Nancy Cook is the contact person for the revisions, and the changes will have to be done by late summer, as this will go to press early fall.

DVD disc could navigate several of the things we are developing for awareness.  (Testimonial video, AMCLC presentation, etc)

RSNA reception:
  • Gift ideas
  • Discounts with publishers to get books?
Other:
Means for surveying residents about matters they feel are important.
  • Web based survey
  • Discussion forums Program directors submit approximately 98% of resident information, but about 68-70% for emails for those residents. The most effective way to communicate is felt to be via the state chapters to program representatives to contact their own individual programs, and that each program representative serves as a direct liason for their program.

      Action Items:
    • Circulate questionnaire for AFIP database
    • Amy Kirby, Greg Miller and Ginnie Scroggins
    • Look at the resident’s section and email any recommendations all members of committee
    • Career development portion of the website needs participation.
      • Ryan Christy
    • Contact information for the state sections and program representatives.
      • Greg Galdino and Greg Miller
    • Working with ACR to update and maintain website
      • Greg Galdino
    • Updating the pamphlet sent out as introduction
      • Joe, Ryan, Dan Entrinkin, and Ginnie Scroggins
    • Surveying residents about important issues
      • Dan Entrinkin
