Have you made your hotel reservation?
In order to get the ACR meeting rate, you must make your hotel
reservation by 14 April. The ACR rate is $186 per night. The hotel is
the Hilton Washington and Towers. You may make your reservation over
the phone by calling 202.483.3000 or online at
www.washington-hilton.com. Be sure to mention the ACR group code: COR.
Why should I go to Capital Hill?
The ACR Annual Meeting and Chapter Leadership Conference is a new
meeting for the ACR. In the past the College held an annual governance
meeting and a separate meeting focusing on radiology advocacy. This
year's AMCLC combines these meetings. In today's healthcare system,
advocacy is an important function of working to assure quality patient
care in radiology. The U.S. Congress makes many decisions impacting the
practice of radiology. For this reason, it is important to communicate
with your representatives on these issues. You can shape the future of
radiology. The AMCLC and RPS meeting will include political information
sessions in order to prepare you for making Congressional visits. Want
to go? Make sure to include your home address on the meeting
registration brochure and check yes in box #5.
